Simple protein quantification with RED – a new approach
Amperia utilises proprietary Redox Electrochemical Detection (RED). Protein binding is translated into an electrical signal and read immediately. No optical components mean a compact footprint and low maintenance. Detection is highly sensitive and specific, enabling quantification in complex samples without purification.
Comparable accuracy with BLI and SPR in cell line development
Agenus UK, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, evaluated the performance of Amperia RED technology for human antibody quantification as part of a cell line development program, demonstrating comparable accuracy to Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) methods, but greater operational efficiency due to at-line analysis.
Accurate automated AAV quantification, 3x faster than manual ELISA
The accuracy, reproducibility and efficiency of the Amperia RED system was compared with manual ELISA methods for AAV capsid titre in a recent study. The Amperia system demonstrated greater accuracy and consistency in titre measurements at multiple sample concentrations across three test days, and a 3 x faster time to result.
University of Manchester efficiently isolates 10x higher-producing CHO population using Amperia
The team needed to assess antibody titre in 100s of samples, but extensive manual ELISA processing meant cell cultures were frozen to manage throughput and data was retrospective. Using the Amperia allowed the team to obtain same day titre results, expedite decisions and reduce project timelines by around 40%.
